Alhamdulillah, Ustadh Wisam Sharieff is coming to Edmonton, Alberta Canada for a conference on Saturday November 25, 2023.

The topic is ‘Reviving Our Relationships For Success’ sponsored by Journey to Success. Subhanallah, I live in Edmonton, and Inshallah, will attend this conference to meet him in person as we have only known each other via Zoom classes where Ustadh Wisam teaches us Tajweed and so much more.

The above video clip is from a class titled Office Hours and all levels can participate to listen and/or ask questions. I am truly amazed at how subtle Allah (S.W.T.) is in showing us His signs, which some may think of coincidences, I have learned from many, many experiences, that they are more than that, but one has to use his/her intellect to see that these moments are signs from Him, reassuring us that He is always with us, Mashallah. 💞

I raised my hand in class, to ensure I had an opportunity to tell Ustadh Wisam that I was attending the conference, Inshallah.

We had completed our review of this weeks submission assignment, Surah Al-Takwir Ayahs 19-25, however, he was enjoying our class so much, unbeknowst to me, he decided to continue with the next Ayah and this is after I raised my hand.

I was caught off guard, not expecting to be asked to recite, I was focused on telling him that the conference was in my hometown, then I noticed the translation of the Ayah which states, “Then where are you going?” 😲

And before Imam Wisam knew I was going to tell him that where he was going was where I live, he mentions a scenario for me to enhance my recitation as follows…”It’s the question of, so where are you going, where are you really going? This is your character motivation here, your dialogue is, you are speaking on behalf of God, and God is asking the busy people…YOU ALL GOTTA GO! Can you put that loving care into this Ayah?”  

It would seem like a coincidence, but to a believer, I would have to say we know this is a definite sign from Allah, Alhamdulillah. 

The Quran Surah Baqarah Ayah 118 states: “And those who have no knowledge say: ‘Why does Allah not speak to us or show us a sign?’ Thus spoke those before them words of similar import. Their hearts are alike, We have indeed made plain the signs for people who believe with certainty.”

Then we continue with the recitation of the next Ayah in Surah Al-Takwir, Ayah 27, which states: “Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the ‘Alameen (mankind and jinns).”

Ustadh Wisam mentions that our dua’s bring him to where he is meant to be. Not only did he make dua to Allah to visit Edmonton, but I too made dua to Allah, asking Him to bless me with hearing the Quran recited by someone who recites with perfect Tajweed, with a voice that is beautiful to listen to, so that I may experience it first hand, rather than through YouTube videos and/or Zoom meetings.

Mashallah, Allah answered our dua’s and has given me an opportunity to share this amazing sign and confirmation of the Power of Unwavering Dua… If you did not catch the class with Ustadh Wisam on Wednesday November 15, 2023, you can watch it above, the first video on this webpage.

He shares with us what he is presenting about on the weekend, Inshallah, to a group of college students, “Unleashing The Power of Unwavering Dua”.

I chose a specific dua that I found on YouTube, which you too can use. All you have to do is watch this YouTube video by Zaynab Talha posted below and write the dua on a piece of paper and recite it frequently, Inshallah, you will have it memorized by the end of the first day. Then recite it while in sujood during salah, after salah and as often as you remember to….I noticed when I feel something is difficult, or makes me sad, or frustrated, really anything that causes me distress, I turn to making this dua and infuse it with my eagerness for help from Allah. 

Inshallah, you too will experience the Power of Unwavering Dua…you can use this dua or any dua specific to your needs and situation. I ask Allah (S.W.T.) to bless all of His believers with answering our Unwavering Dua and to help us share His message with others, Ameen 🧕🤲💞
